One Health Initiative Inc.
A Non-profit organization
The One Health Initiative (OHI) is a multidisciplinary 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the "One Health" framework. One Health is a collaborative approach recognized by the CDC and WHO which links the well-being of people, animals, and the environment. This global approach recognizes that human, animal, plant, and environment health are deeply connected and affect each other. Based in Florida and Georgia, OHI operates through four specialized pillars: Animal Health, Human Health, Plant Health, and Environmental Health.
The 4 Pillars of One Health

Plant Health
Plant health is fundamental to the stability of our planet and forms the foundation of all ecosystems. Healthy plants are the primary producers in the food web and harvest the sun's energy to grow and provide energy that sustains all life on Earth. Beyond food production, plants are vital for our air quality by continually producing oxygen and sequestering caron dioxide. Cleaning up and protecting these plant systems is essential.

Animal Health
Animals are fundamentally connected to everything through complex ecosystems. They provide essential services through pollination, nutrient cycling and maintaining biodiversity. This directly impacts humans and our entire planet. OHI assists by rehoming unwanted pets to prevent owners from releasing them into the wild. We also donate food to local animal shelters.

Environmental Health
Everything in the natural world is intricately connected, forming a delicate web of life known as the ecosystem. From the smallest microorganisms in the soil to large predators, each component plays a crucial role in maintaining health of our ecosystem. Healthy oceans provide the oxygen we breathe, while forests filter our air and water. Helping to clean and protect our environment is essential. We work on preserving ecosystems by partnering with other non-profits and environmental clubs to participate in ecosystem cleanups.

Human Health
Humans are fundamentally connected to everything through the food they eat, which directly links their personal health to global agriculture, ecosystems and climate. What we eat isn't just fuel. It's important building blocks for your cells, influencing mood, energy and risk for disease. OHI assists by providing canned and packaged food for those in need.
