  Animal Health Projects

We are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and long-term protection of diverse animal populations, with a focus on small mammal species. Our mission extends beyond immediate care through our Wildlife Habitat Restoration Program, an initiative centered on ecological restoration.

The Muridae Research & Rescue

Based out of Nassau, Florida, our animal rescue provides a safe haven for animals in need of a new home.  We specialize in the care and rehoming of small animals including gerbils, mice and rats.   While our main focus is on rescue and adoption, we also track intake trends to better understand the needs of our local animal populations and improve community education.

They are a sweet pair of female mice.  They love climbing and sleeping in high places! These girls are not spayed, but they have a clean bill of health and are looking for a forever home together. Because they share an incredibly strong social bond, they must be adopted as a pair and cannot be permanently separated.

Milo

As a solo male mouse, he is looking for a home where he can be the center of attention and receive plenty of daily interaction. If you’re looking for a tiny friend with a huge heart, Milo is ready to bring some joy to your household!

Wildlife Habitat Restoration Initiative

Our Wildlife Habitat Project focuses on creating safe sustainable living species for both Florida and Georgia's native species.  We restore the natural environment by removing non-native species and replace them with native vegetation.  This establishes a healthier ecosystem and mitigates invasive species effects, protecting the land for local wildlife.
